SheKnows Book Club Update!

So you might remember that I am one of the official bloggers for the SheKnows.com Book Club.  We have been reading “Pieces of Happily Ever After” by Irene Zutell, which I really enjoyed (click on the cover below for my review). We will be discussing the book with the author on Thursday, March 25th from 6pm to 10pm Eastern on the SheKnows Message Boards.

You may also want to check out this highly entertaining book trailer Irene put together for “Pieces of Happily Ever After.”  If I understand correctly that’s actually Irene’s daughter. It makes me laugh every time I watch it.

Our April/May book will be “House Rules” by Jodi Picoult.  I’ve read almost all of her work except for “Handle With Care” and “Nineteen Minutes.”  I was getting a little burned out on her work, but it has been a couple of years now since I’ve read anything by her, so I’m excited to read this one, about a young boy with Aspergers.

  • I think the only Jodi Picoult that I read with The Pact. I that book but ner managed to get back and read any of her others.

  • I can’t wait to hear your thoughts for this months book selection. I see this book all the time (the cover grabs my attention).

I just let my library copy go for Picoult’s new book (I was number 4 or 207 on the wait list)… if I decide to read this I will have to borrow it friend or buy it now.

Have a great discussion later this week. Do you have books selected beyond House Rules? I am interested to read with you.

  • I haven’t ever read a Picoult so I’m really looking forward to the next SheKnows book club selection.

That video was a little scary. :-) In any case, I haven’t gotten Pieces of Happily Ever After read yet, but I hope to have House Rules read in time for the discussion. Thanks for sharing!

  • Can’t wait to hear your review on Picoult’s newest book. I’ve read most of her stuff, but like you had to take a break. There became a point where I couldn’t recall which book was about what!

  • Piccoult does have a formula that she follows pretty closely, so it is easy to get burned out on her books. I have heard this one is decent. We are selling it at the book fair this week…we will see how it sells.

  • I love all Piccoult books. I just recieved a copy of her last book as a Christmas gift, and I read it in three days time. I just can’t put them down.
