Sunday Salon – The Big Easy

This week marked the first time I left the babies for more than 4 or 5 hours. This was sort of a big deal because they are not so keen on bottles, although they take solid food well (and they acquiesced to take bottles when they realized I wasn’t coming back soon). My husband was working in New Orleans this week and I flew down on Thursday to meet him. We hit Bourbon Street, Faulkner House Books, some great restaurants, a city tour, and one of the first Mardi Gras parades of the season, all in about 36 hours. I also spent the time Instagramming up a storm. Below are some of my favorite shots.

Thanks in part to flying both directions without anybody I knew (my husband came home at the same time as I did, but he had to fly with a different carrier), I also got a lot of reading done this week. Here’s what I finished:
