TSS – July 10, 2011

So we’re basically just having a great week+ here. The weather has (finally) been gorgeous, hubby started a new job that he’s really excited about, and Daniel got to spend lots of time with various grandparents, including a day and 1/2 while hubby and I took a trip downtown to celebrate our upcoming anniversary.

This week Nicole and I also posted a new episode of our podcast, What’s Old is New. Check back there next week for a Season 1 wrap up and a sneak preview of what will be coming up next season.

My reading week was higher in quality than quantity, but it was a good one nonetheless. I’ve still got a couple of good books going, too, and more good stuff coming up.

I also reviewed some good stuff this week:

Here’s to another great week!

  • I’d join your readalong of the Agatha Christie books, except I’m already in an Agatha Christie reading challenge where we’re reading all of her novels in order (some are even reading her short stories, not me, though). However, it’s interesting to read another perspective, especially on novels of which I’ve never heard.

  • We’ve been having great weather finally here too and it’s wonderful! How nice that you were able to take some time to celebrate your upcoming anniversary. Happy anniversary early!

  • Looks like a great week to me. I’d go for quality over quantity any day.

  • I’m with Kathy, I’ll take the quality! Sounds like a great summer (and an anniversary celebration – yay!). I’m really excited about Joy, but I’m holding out for the audio. Her last book was spectacular on audio.

  • Great stuff, this week! I’ve been sort of sad about skipping out on the AC reading and might end up doing my own little marathon when summer ends. It’s been fun to read reviews, at least, though!

  • Yeah, we finally got some great weather this week, too! I was starting to think it was going to rain all summer!

  • I fear we crossed from okay weather into crappy, extremely hot and draining weather. It sucks. I hope you had fun in Chicago!!
