Audiobook Week Giveaway – History Buffs

I want to make the audiobook love available to all readers, whether or not they are able to participate in Audiobook Week posts this week. To that end, some of our sponsored prizes are going towards giveaways, open regardless of participation.

I will be giving away an increasing number of audiobooks each day all week, each on a theme. Today’s theme: history buffs.

Atlantic by Simon Winchester, narrated by Simon Winchester (my review)
The Greater Journey
by David McCullough, narrated by Edward Herrmann  (McCullough and Herrmann discussing the book: video)
Unfamiliar Fishes
by Sarah Vowell, narrated by Sarah Vowell and others (my review)

These prizes are supplied and sent by Harper Audio and Simon & Schuster Audio and can only be shipped within the United States.

  • I just listened to Sarah Vowell read her book Assassination Vacation and I LOVED it. She has a really quirky voice, but it totally suits her material. Great giveaways!!

  • I love Sarah Vowell! This is the only one of her books I haven’t read yet.

  • Thanks Jen, that would be a nice gift indeed!

  • I’ve read two of David McCullough’s in print – audio woudl be a nice change – might get through it in less than my usual 6-12 months!

Love books on tape and would love to listen to david McCoullough’s new book on Americans expatriats in Paris

  • Hi Jen,
These look fantastic! I would definitely like to be entered in the drawing. Loved Sarah Vowell’s earlier books and my mom can’t speak highly enough of Simon Winchester’s work, so these factors, combined with your reviews, have me excited to listen to these audio books!
