A Week for Reading

I told you all last Sunday that I was finally getting my reading groove back, and damn if it wasn’t true! I finished more books in the last week than I did in all of May up until that point. Seriously. Awesome. Of course that means I’m even farther behind on reviews than I already was, which is a bit terrifying, so that may have to be the main focus of this coming week.

I wasn’t the only one in my family all about the books this week, either:

As awesome as that video is, I’m not even sure it was the most awesome thing all week. That distinction goes to the Dear  John Chuck letter Nicole and I wrote to Charles Dickens over on our What’s Old is New tumblr. There was also the supremely awesome Book Drive, but more about that another time.

Anyway, here’s what I finished this week:

  • I am in love with your son! He certainly knows what he wants and is not shy about asking for it, is he? I love, love, love the fact that he is already a bibliophile, although I expect nothing less from your child. Great video. Thanks so much for sharing!

BTW, I’ll be in IL over Memorial Day weekend. Interested in meeting for lunch or coffee?

  • Wow, you got a ton of stuff done! That video is so incredibly sweet!

  • Wow, you really did get your reading groove back. I hope it washes over me cause I’m just not there yet.

I love your video. It reminds me of when my, now 20 year old, daughter was 2 she would almost daily announce “I’m going to play books please don’t bother me”.

    • The majority of today books were not started last week, only finished, but it was good.

I LOVE that phrase of your daughter’s. I wonder if I 9am use it myself…
