Daniel had a lot of first this week, not just his first Easter.

First, his first time playing outside:
He was initially really unsure about playing in the grass for the first time

Shortly after this, though, he started zooming around like a crazy little crawler. He also found a big stick to play with.

Then, his first Easter egg hunt:

  1. Oh my, that was a big week for Daniel! That video brought back memories – Vance wasn’t sure about grass his first time in it either. I hope y’all had a Happy Easter!

  2. Wow, he did have a busy week ! Nick was watching and said he was sooo cute!

  3. Aww very big week for Daniel!

  4. Oh my goodness, that expression on his face when he was getting his hair cut! He seems just a little concerned, but didn’t totally freak out (which is what happened when my son got his first haircut). I also love the look on his face when he was sitting in that grass…not totally upset, but also not real sure what it is all about!

    • He did cry a little, he wanted to get out and let his mommy or daddy hold him, but he did pretty well, especially since he was getting tired. There was a kid around 3 getting his haircut who was sitting in his mom’s lap and SCREAMING the whole time.

  5. I loved these pictures! Your son is adorable and it is so fun that first year with all of the first experiences. Thanks for sharing :)

  6. lol…he looks none too thrilled in that first haircut pic, poor little feller.

  7. Oh, could that little man be any CUTER??!! :) Adorable. Thanks for sharing him and making me remember all those special firsts from my kids!

  8. What a fun post of firsts and an exciting time :)

  9. The first haircut pics really bring back memories. He seemed to do really well. My son was okay with the first cut but then would not allow me to EVER have his haircut professionally. I had to learn how to cut his hair and to this day, I still do it for him and he is eleven now! I also cut The Hub’s hair as I have gotten quite good. My son will of course allow a professional cut now but why? It saves us all kinds of money for me to do it.

Enjoy this time with him. He is getting to be such a big guy.

  10. My daughter screamed and cried the first time her bare feet touched grass (and beach sand, too). She doesn’t believe me.

I can’t believe how big he’s getting. He’s so handsome!

  11. I do not believe how big he’s gotten! And that expression in the first haircut pic is classic! “….really? Are you sure, mom?”

  12. Aww! What a little cutie patootie! He looks a little apprehensive about the haircut! Both my boys were a little wary about grass. They still don’t enjoy walking barefoot in it, whereas I LOVE it!

  13. He really is too cute for words. And I love the haircut pictures!!!

  14. Looks like you all had a great Easter…and his first haircut…he was so calm!

  15. I love the first of the first haircut pictures. He looks a little unsure of this whole thing. So cute.

  16. Those were sooo cute! Those pictures of him in the haircut chair made were adorable!

  17. Oh my goodness he is getting so big! What a sweetie! I love the look on his face when he first has his toes in that grass and on his first haircut – sure doesn’t look impressed. Too cute!

  18. Looks like Daniel really enjoyed the egg hunt more than the haircut!

  19. Wow, he’s grown so much! What a big handsome boy he’s becoming!

  20. His hair is getting so long! Just in the past month it seems to really be filling out and growing at the speed of light.

    He’s a cutie!
