It is, but honestly the way she writes it you won’t miss anything if you read “The Scarlet Lion” first/only. Thanks for reminding me, I need to go back and add that to my review, I meant to make that point!

This is one of my all time favorite books – I agree with you that she’s right up there with Penman! I got a couple of her older books from the library.
