I’ll keep that in mind for my friend — she does have some body image issues, but I’ll make sure to pass on this as a gift. She definitely might not appreciate it. Thanks for the review!

Will definitely steer clear of this one for my pregnant friend then! As for me, I’m not sure I want to read too much about the horrors of pregnancy lest I put myself off entirely for the future!

While I have always worried over my weight, I reveled in my pregnancy. I had no issues whatsoever, I felt blessed. Now there is a mom at school, who, when she had her third child, dieted during her pregnancy. She always looks model-thin, and apparently wanted to continue to look like that through pregnancy. I think she only gained a few pounds. Her 9 month maternity clothes wouldn’t have fit me at my thinnest. It was just nuts.

I agree with your final assessment. I probably would not give this book as a gift. I think that it could be construed as a bit insulting, and how can you really tell at what level they are when it comes to body image? .-= Jenn´s last blog ..Who’s The Boss? Apparently, My Dog Is. =-.
