I’ve seen Krakauer on a lot of shows talking about this and I’m so happy that we have people who are willing to uncover some of the lies the public is told. This isn’ a book that appeals to me, but his passion for the topic is one that made me mad at the lies.

We really do read all the same books. I have this one but have not yet read it. I like his books but my mind does tend to wander in them in parts.

Football isn’t really a huge part of the story, there were just a couple of parts REALLY about it that made my mind wander.

I love stories like this, and admire Krakauer, but I’m not all that into football. I’m sort of on the fence with this one. I guess if I had it handed to me, I’d give it a shot.

Wow! I had heard that Jessica Lynch didn’t go down fighting but didn’t realize her captors had tried to return her. I’m not sure this is a story I want to read.

This book didn’t really appeal to me and your review just confirms it. I did know a lot of the stuff you found most interesting about the book since we discuss it in my Poli Sci classes, which means most of what was left would be the football and war, which I’m not really interested in!
