The Wednesday Witch was among my top 5 books in grade school and I haven't seen it for years. (My copy mysteriously disappeared, along with a whole box of other favs, from my parents' house after I went to college. No one is confessing.) Glad to see that it's still available and still being loved.

Oh, I absolutely LOVED SHUTTER ISLAND! I can't wait to hear what you think about it. The thing I've found with this book is that people either love it or hate it; very rarely have I found people indifferent. Regardless of whether you love it or hate it, I don't think anyone can argue that it is brilliantly written and definitely plays tricks on your mind! Lehane is a master.

Nothing came in for me this past week at the library. I have about 10 items on request, though.

YAY for Leviathan! It looks wonderful doesn't it? I just read Carl's review on Kathy's blog and I'm all the more excited for it now.

The nice thing about a library problem is that it's free. :) Raising a Reader caught my eye from your loot this week! I'm a big fan of Waters too. :D

Shutter Island is FANTASTIC! I'm sure you will love it. I convinced my non-fiction reading boyfriend to pick it up and he read it in a sitting. It's incredibly suspenseful and Lehane is a wonderful writer. I hope you like it! :)

You have some super books out. I have read Sarah Waters (yet), but I hear such good things. I love Denis LeHane, but I haven't read Shutter Island yet. I have Leviathan here waiting to be read.

I've been wanting to get to The Little Stranger! I'm hoping to get through a bunch of review books by the end of the year so I can get to some of these gems.

After is amazing! One of the best books I have read so far this year, I would say. Raising a Reader looks really good. I'll have to check that out.

I read The Daughter of Time a long while ago, and I remember really liking it. I'd actually like to read it again, especially after reading A Secret Alchemy this summer (also about the War of the Roses).

Also, I've got The Lacuna on my TBR pile... I think that's going to be one of the books that comes with me to my parents' over Thanksgiving.

I haven't yet read THE WEDNESDAY WITCH, I had to request it from my library today (it's out of print). The other book Nicole and I will be talking about is WHAT THE WITCH LEFT, also by Ruth Chew. This is one I remember so vividly from my childhood, it was a real favorite. I hope my re-read lives up to the expectations!

Enjoy all your Library Loot, Jen!
