My favorite queen is Anne Boleyn. I’ve read a few books of her life with Henry VIII and she was so misunderstood! She tried so hard to give Henry what he wanted, but no woman could ever please him.

I have always been fascinated by queens throughout time and the one I have always been most fascinated in is Anne Boleyn. Her rise to power and swift fall has always intrigued me. I’ve also been fascinated by Elizabeth I, because she was a woman with so much power.

Given that I prefer any Queen to all the Kings combined, I have quite a few favorites. Mostly I like that they survived at all — and I can appreciate the political savvy of even the cruel ones (because when weren’t they all a bit on the cruel side?). I adore Elizabeth I for obvious reasons and find her insistence on staying unmarried to be fascinating. But I also respect Anne of Cleves, who was smart enough to survive Henry VIII and managed to live a full life post-marriage to him. I’m a big fan of Plaidy’s, and would LOVE to get my hands on this book! Thanks for the chance!
