This library pile looks tiny compared to the piles I’ve been bringing in the last couple of weeks, but I’m still cringing to see how many I’ve got, mostly because I haven’t returned many of the books I already have out. I read a few of them for the Readathon, but I’ve still got 25 or so out!
Without furthur ado, here’s what I took out this week:
Shelf Discovery: Teen Classics We Never Stopped Reading by Lizzie Skurnik – I got this out to read along with the books I’m reading for the Shelf Discovery Challenge.

The Dead & The Gone by Susan Beth Pfeffer – Amy said that I HAD to have this on hand for after I read Life As We Knew It.

Katherine by Anya Seton – I’ve been hearing about this book for a long time, but I can’t remember what prompted me to pick it up (well, put it on hold) this time.
Cleopatra’s Daughter by Michelle Moran – I’ve been looking forward to this one for a long time, because I adored The Heretic Queen.

I’m wanting to get into Cleopatra’s Daughter too. There’s just not enough time to read!
I read Katherine a while ago and didn’t totally love it like everyone else seems to, but it is a good read. I did really enjoy Cleopatra’s Daughter though!

That Shelf Discovery Challenge is really intriguing me. I keep telling myself I’ll go hunt down the book at Borders and just sit somewhere and find my list.

I need to read Moran books. Gawd, I wish I had more time.

Looks like you got some good stuff. I read Katherine a few months ago and it was pretty good. After seeing your post on the shelf discovery challenge, I reserved the book at my library, so I should be getting it within the next week.

Enjoy your books! Cleopatra’s Daughter was really good.
That is a small pile for you! And it’s true, you must have “The Dead and the Gone” to start immediately after “Life As We Knew It.” Otherwise, you’ll go nuts!

The Dead and the Gone hasn’t been published here yet. I wish it was because I really liked the first book.
I enjoyed both Cleopatra’s Daughter and Katherine.
Enjoy your loot!
We must all be scouring Shelf Discovery for the Challenge.
I am anxious to read Cleopatra’s Daughter. I haven’t read a lot of historical fiction but I am seeing more and more books that interest me!
Enjoy!
Amy’s right The Dead & The Gone is good to read right after Life As We Knew It. It was interesting to see the same event told from a different location/perspective. I hope you enjoy them both.
