Which is actually hour 14 for me – over halfway done and going pretty strong! I’m still at my inlaws as they play with Daniel. I’m not getting nearly as much reading done as I would if I was at home alone, but a lot more than I would if someone else wasn’t playing with the baby, so overall it is definitely good. This wasn’t the most productive of reading stretches for me, but I finished another book so I can’t really complain. Plus I got to read Daniel a shiny (literally) new Halloween book, which I am including in my stats.
Since the last check-in:
Time elapsed: 3.5 hours
Books Read: Once Was Lost by Sarah Zarr, Where Men Win Glory by Jon Krakauer (audio) and Where’s Baby’s Halloween Pumpkin
Pages Read: 225
Time Spent Reading: 2 hours plus 15 minutes of audio
Books Finished: 2 – Once Was Lost by Sarah Zarr, and Where’s Baby’s Halloween Pumpkin
Cumulative:
Time elapsed: 13.5 hours
Books Read: Confessions of a Slacker Mom by Muffy Mead-Ferro, Persepolis: The Story of a Childhood by Marjane Satrapi, The King’s Rose by Alisa M. Libby, The Black Stallion Returns by Walter Farley, Once Was Lost by Sarah Zarr, Where Men Win Glory by Jon Krakauer (audio) and Where’s Baby’s Halloween Pumpkin
Pages Read: 1002
Time Spent Reading: 6 hours, 50 minutes plus 15 minutes of audio
Books Finished: 6 – Confessions of a Slacker Mom by Muffy Mead-Ferro, Persepolis: The Story of a Childhood by Marjane Satrapi, The King’s Rose by Alisa M. Libby, The Black Stallion Returns by Walter Farley, Once Was Lost by Sarah Zarr, and Where’s Baby’s Halloween Pumpkin
I have to say, I like how Where’s Baby’s Halloween Pumpkin inflates my stats, making it look like I finished one book for each 70 minutes or so of reading time.

You’re cranking out some amazing reading there! Good work
Have fun!
I have Persepolis 2 in my reading stack.
You’re doing great. In a little while I’m going to have to read children’s books to my kids too! What did you think of Persepolis? Happy reading!
.-= Vasilly´s last blog ..Readathon: 2nd update =-.

Congratulations. I like how you have an audio book worked in there too. Keep up the gook work. We are more than half way through the event and you seem to be holding up great.
Sounds like you have had a lot of fun so far. Congrats on all the books finished!
Wow! You’re doing great
It’s astounding, time is fleeting
Reading takes its toll
But listen closely, not for very much longer
You’ve almost met the goal
I remember doing the Read-a-thon
During those moments when
The blackness would hit me and sleep would be calling
Let’s do the readathon again…
Let’s do the readathon again!
It’s just a book in your hand
And then a flip of the page
With your eyes on the words
You let your mind engage
But it’s the cheerleaders that really drive you insane,
Let’s do the readathon again!
Your book is dreamy, or hot and steamy
It stars a banshee, or no one at all
It’s in another dimension, there’s no comprehension
Oh no, there’s none at all
With a bit of a page flip
You’re suddenly on a space ship
And nothing can ever be the same
You’re strung out on cookies, you sound like a Wookie
Let’s do the readathon again!
Well I was strolling through the bookstore just havin’ a look
When what should I espy but my next book
It shook me up, it took me by surprise
It had a sale tag and Care gave it 5 pies.
It lured me in and I felt a change
Time meant nothing, never would again
Let’s do the readathon again!
