I can never understand why shipping takes so long! I once saw a TV show where they raced Royal Mail from the bottom of England up to an island at the top of Scotland and it only took a day. If so, why does it take so long for me to get things I'm waiting for? The USPS seems to operate on the same wavelength as packages just sit for days an hour away from me. I mean, I occasionally don’t pick up my holds right away, but for a book like that I’m on it and read it ASAP, so the next person can get it. I picked up my copy of “Catching Fire” within 2 hours of the library opening and I’m returning it today for the next people to get it, I would have taken it back earlier if I could have gotten there with Daniel.

I am dying to read Catching Fire! I’m number three on the hold list, but our library only bought two copies – can you believe that? And both of them have their status listed as “on the hold shelf” – why, oh why, do people put books on hold if they don’t intend to pick them up as soon as they come in?!?!
