TSS: June 2009 Reading Wrap-Up
I’m pretty impressed with the number of books I read in June, considering that I didn’t finish any at all after the 22nd (we went to the hospital at 1 am on the 25th for Daniel’s birth). By June 22nd I finished 2o books, for a total of 5,688 pages. I was trying to read a book per day in June before Daniel arrived, which I didn’t quite achieve, but I think I did pretty well, all things considered. I’ve finished over 100 books so far this year, which means that I still have a decent chance of making it to my goal of 150, even with Daniel cutting down on my reading time (it is hard to read when you just want to sit and watch your baby).
After my list of what I read this month, you’ll find a list of the other reviews I posted, as well as some other posts from this month that might be of interest:

These newborn days go by faster than any pageturner ever will. Keep watching that adorable baby. The books will be there, always.

I second Betty and Boo! My niece is growing up so fast, and while I’ve loved all her stages, I miss the newborn one the most.

You had a great month. I say sit and watch Daniel – he won’t be a baby for very long and those books will still be there waiting for you when you can get to them. Enjoy every minute you spend with your precious baby!

That’s quite an accomplishment in reading, for sure, but your best work for the month was definitely little Daniel
Congrats, and the books will be there after you’ve stopped just sitting and staring at him in loving adoration (though, when that is, I’m not sure, because Maggie’s 10 and I still enjoy watching her sleep or play when she doesn’t know I’m looking

I think staring at your newborn gift is reason enough to set reading aside for a short while

I think saying you “did well” is quite the understatement! Congrats on all your reading and finishing your 100th book this year! And mostly, congrats on your biggest achievement, your newborn!

My comment is unrelated… but I wanted to get in touch. I have lost many of my fellow bloggers/readers due to a change in my feed address. As you’re one of my favorite blogs, I wanted to let you know about this change in my feed address and URL. The post about it is here: http://anovelmenagerie.com/2009/06/30/blogging-update/. I just didn’t want to lose touch (although, you’re on my reader… so we’re golden, there!)
