Library Loot – June 18, 2009
Library Loot is a weekly event co-hosted by Eva and Marg that encourages bloggers to share the books they’ve checked out from the library.
I’ve tried not to put anything on hold that is going to come in soon with the uncertainty about when the baby would arrive (not yet, evidently). This has been a pretty successful strategy in the last week, because all I checked out was one book and one season of the TV show “Breaking Bad” that hubby wanted to see.
Here’s what I got:
Lark and Termite by Jayne Anne Phillips

This is definitely the least loot I’ve gotten in a week since I started using the library, but that’s probably for the best right now.

The cover looks very intriguing. I’ll be interested in hearing what it’s about.

I went crazy these past few days, so next week my Library Loot is going to look more like confessions, lol. I hope the baby comes soon!

I’ve never heard of the show “Breaking Bad,” I’ll have to look that one up. One thing I like about getting the TV series from the library as opposed to Netflix is that, besides being FREE from the library, I get the whole season instead of a disc at a time. Of course, the downside of that is that, when people decide to never return them, the whole season is lost and it’s expensive to replace them.
Hope the baby makes his grand entrance soon
I know you’ve got to be ready to serve eviction papers by now!

My sons (22 and 18) have been watching Breaking Bad non-stop. I think they are “caught up”.

I like the cover. I think I heard about this somewhere else. I’ll have to give it a look. And you’re having a baby?? Congrats!! This is still a “secret” but September is my month of “all things baby” since my friend is having one too in the fall.
Oh, and don’t forget the YA Book Carnival starting tomorrow: give something away, enter contests, find new blogs, HAVE FUN. It’ll be on my blog so stop by (or follow so you don’t miss anything)
