I would like to unread the summary of Wetlands that I read a few weeks ago. Thinking about it has made me queasy - the actual book would really be intolerable. I don't mind a few body fluids in my reading, but they are not intended for *consumption*.

I haven't encountered something that is irredeemably bad. Books that I want to "unread" are ones written by authors whose previous reads I have enjoyed. Sometimes they just have a bad day I guess. I would like to defy time and start over again with another book.

No, I don't think that you happened to pick the two good ones, I think you and I just have different reading tastes. The first book of his I read was "The Alchemist" and I thought he was trying to hard to make it all mystical (it has been a long time, I mostly just remember it annoying me). Then I read "The Valkyries" and that annoyed me even more. Everything I disliked about "The Alchemist" was magnified in that book. I suppose I just find him a bit absurd, but a chacun a son gout!

I've got some Coelho on my shelf that I've been overlooking in favor of other books because I can't get in the right "mood" to read him.

I just had my first Paul Coelho experience with Brida...

Any of the Sookie Stackhouse books and any of the Faerie books by Holly Black come to mind for me first.

No book immediately jumps into my mind either. I usually don't finish books that I am thoroughly not enjoying. And while there have been books I've read that are disappointing, there was something in them that kept me going so I can't say I thought they were a complete waste of time. Maybe just a little. :-)

I am not a fan of anything by Jodi Picoult for the most part. I've never been mad to read it, but I just haven't been too happy with them.

I was also really upset with the ending of In the Woods.
