I am a history nerd plus I love writing and reading, so your work sounds like my dream job! I'm not nearly creative enough though!:) My favorite time period in my country - the USA - would have to be the 20th century - I guess not too long ago, but I love movies/books about the turn of the century, the 20s, the Great Depression, World War II, the 60s, the 70s and the 80s... just about the whole century! So that would be my favorite :)

I am particularly interested in the late 1800s - early 1900s when so many Scots came to Canada (as a reslut of the last wave of 'Clearances'). So many worked on railway construction throughout Canada and helped connect our coasts.
