I Agree it too “I agree that the style of the book was different, but so well done. This was a great book, and I say that as someone who’s never read Capote or Lee. I enjoyed Nelle’s parts a lot, but I liked the comic relief provided by Myrtle. And Capote…well, he’s just over the top.”

I agree that the style of the book was different, but so well done. This was a great book, and I say that as someone who’s never read Capote or Lee. I enjoyed Nelle’s parts a lot, but I liked the comic relief provided by Myrtle. And Capote…well, he’s just over the top.

Great review!!! I found Nelle’s sections the best, too. I liked the housekeeper, though. She made me laugh and I felt she added a bit of perspective. Capote and Lee got so wrapped up in themselves and each other that it was good to have a third party fill in some details.

Before I read the book I was a bit hesitant as I’ve not read any Capote yet but you are right, he really does such a great job with the characters that you certainly don’t feel like you are missing anything. Of course now I do want to read something by Capote
