Hehe. I was discussing this novel earlier this semester with a friend of mine. It was actually one of his favorites when he was a kid.

I've been meaning to read it again, but I haven't had a chance to get around to it.

One of my favorite books as a kid and the one that got me started on "heavier" science fiction. I read the whole series but this is the one that I have re-read (and I rarely re-read just for myself).

Personally, I've never read the book, have never liked any type of science fiction, but I have great respect for the book and the author. Both my daughter and granddaughter read and loved the book and its sequels; contributed to their love of reading, and that's always a big plus.

The third one in the Time Quartet, A Swiftly Tilting Planet is one of my favorite books of all time, although I loved A Wrinkle in Time too. My copy had a cover with a face with glowing red eyes that freaked me out to no end.

This is one of my all-time favorites. I liked the first three books in the series a lot, A Swiftly Tilting planet not so much, and just couldn't get into Many Waters.

This book was my introduction to science fiction, a wonderful world of books, imagination, and finally, publication of my own science fiction short stories.

When I was in law school at Columbia in NYC, I used the libaray at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine as a quiet place to study. It was open to the public but there was seldom anyone else there. However, there was a glass-walled office near the front that was used by one woman, whom I assumed worked for the church because she was always typing away. I said "Hi" to her on a daily basis but we never talked. It was years later that I learned it was Madeline L'Engle.
