Seasonal change does nothing to alter my reading regimen other than move me from outside to inside the house or visa versa depending on the warmth or coldness outside. {-:>

I love a good rainy day. More often than not though they come on a work day when I can’t stay home and take advantage of a perfectly good reading day.

I agree – I tend to read heavier books in the winter. But overall, my reading habits aren’t too affected!

I stay with my usual genres and rotate between them. The only difference is that I’d read over a hot apple cider rather than iced tea!

I change genres a bit with the seasons. I love Fall though. My favorite season, for sure!

I find that during the cooler/earlier dark months (when I can get the kids to sleep earlier) I have more time to read and snuggle under a nice warm blanket. As far as the type of books I read, that doesn’t change much…well I might be more likely to read a holiday themed book during the appropriate time. Some people might think Christmas in July but I just can’t read it at the poolside…LOL

I think the temperature outside definitely affects my brain’s ability to concentrate. So I tend toward paperbacks in the summer and hardbacks in the fall. Something about sitting down with a hot cocoa or espresso and a meatier book.

I had pretty much the same reaction – the only time I change my reading habits is when I’m by the pool or ocean. And, no, James Joyce wouldn’t be my idea of a “light read,” either!
