I am TOTALLY getting this for an old roommate of mine! There was a nasty family of pigeons outside her window that would wake her up at all hours of the night and she just hated them! She’ll love to read about them…

Until reading this I’ve never given pigeons much thought. They are dearly loved by Bert from Sesame Street and Jane and Michael Banks caused a rush on the bank because they weren’t allowed to use their toppins to feed the birds like in the song Mary Poppins used to sing them to sleep. Hmm… Maybe there’s something more to them than meets this BFE-dwellers eye.

Hmm, I do love a good pop-sci book, and this one looks cool. My housemate’s got Pigeons: The Fascinating Saga of the World’s Most Revered and Reviled Bird by Andrew Blechman on his bookcase… I wonder how they compare?
