“One More Year” is the debut collection of short stories from Sana Krasikov, who was born in Ukraine and raised in Georgia. It is simply phenomenal and will remind you of Jhumpa Lahiri’s “Interpreter of Maladies” in the skill with which she tells her stories and the depth she brings to the characters.

“Superdove” is the informative, surprisingly fun book about, well, pigeons. I will never look at pigeons the same way again after reading this book and I recommend it to any and all who are curious about the world around them.
