Blogging Awards!

I need to stop and recognize some very kind people who have given me blogging awards in the last couple of weeks.

I was nominated for this award by The Literate Housewife, my first blogging buddy when I started back in February.  She has a great blog if you haven’t checked it out, by the way.

I was nominated for this award three times in one day, by So Many Books, So Little Time, Medieval Bookworm, and Books and Movies!

So here are my nominees for these awards….

For the Brilliante Weblog Award:

The Literate Housewife – I already said she was my first blogging friend, but what I didn’t share was that it was her blog that inspired me to start my own.

Fyrefly’s Book Blog – Probably the second blog I added to my reader.  She has really organized, thoughtful reviews and made the fantastic reading tracking sheet that I could not live without.  The only reason I’m only nominating her for one award is that I know Literate Housewife nominated her for the Excellence award as well.

For the Excellence in Blogging Award:

Medieval Bookworm - Originally I was a bit intimidated by Meghan’s blog – the name at least, I was envisioning exclusively medieval-period book reviews, or at least medieval period historical fiction reviews.   However, I have grown to love her style  and the books she chooses.  It always makes me happy to see a post from her in my google reader.

So Many Books, So Little Time -This is a fairly new blog, but it is a very good one.  Obviously, since Rebecca already received two awards!  I look forward to watching this blog grow.

Books and Movies – Carrie runs a great blog AND manages to homeschool four children at the same time.  I’m not sure anyone deserves an award more!

Both Awards:

I’m going to try to recognize fantastic blogs I’ve not seen mentioned yet…

Reading, Writing, and Retirement – I LOVE Terri’s blog.  Not only does she write great book reviews, she also occasionally includes gorgeous pictures of her garden.

Maw Books Blog – Natasha’s site is crazy amazing.  Plus, she cares deeply about people and educates all of us about some of the horrors going on in the world today through the books she reads and the reviews she writes.  Don’t let that make you think that her blog is a dark depressing place, though, because it is one of my favorite places to visit.

Hey Lady, Whatcha Readin’? - Trish just cracks me up.  I love her book talk, as well as her ruminations on the fun of putting her cold feet on her husband’s legs.
