I had actually stopped listening (yes I have it on audio) in the first few chapters. It was to tough for me. Your review make me start again and I have to admit, its been great. I am about 1 hour from the end and I still don’t know exactly how it will end.

I just started reading this book last night and am totally in awe of Davidson’s skill to get us all mixed up in what we feel. His tireless devotion to explaining it down to the most minute detail is spot-on — you just can’t feel the dread and indeed the disgust of what happens when your skin is broiling off your body without this very graphic account. I like the way he grabbed me by the throat and force-fed me — I’m going willingly.
