I have read so many reviews on this book. I can’t quite decide if it is my cup of tea or not, but I may break down and read it anyway based on the reviews. I have found so many good books that way!

I had mixed emotions about this book. And I don’t think I read the questions in the book – by the end, I was rather over it. Your review does capture the flavor of the book and I agree about being emotionally involved with Jacob – some of my favorite passages were the interactions in the nursing home. I rather liked some of the surprises as well.

I'm planning to read this book for the Historical Fiction Reading Challenge. At first I avoided it b/c I thought it was something I'd NEVER be interested in ... but then I heard so many great things about it that I just had to give in. Now I'm really looking forward to starting it!

I definitely need to read this. I was planning on having my on-line book club read it the first of the year, but I don’t have the time or energy to run two blogs while I’m in school. I’ll have to read it on my own. It sounds great.
