It was good, but not my favorite of hers. If you’re looking for historical fiction and want to try Plaidy, I’d recommend “The Courts of Love” about Eleanor of Aquitane, “The Queen’s Secret” about Catherine of Valois, or one of the other books in the ‘Queens of England’ series.

Thanks for the great review, I’ve been searching for a historical fiction of some sorts for a couple of weeks now – just can’t seem to find a good one. This one looks good, although not as historical as I usually go for. I’ll pick up a copy.
